Pacific Standard is where Americana storytelling meets jam-band spirit. Drawing inspiration from The Band, Eagles, and Grateful Dead, the San Francisco Bay Area based quintet blends roots rock authenticity, honeyed harmonies, and unbuttoned grooves into a sound that feels both timeless and alive.
Fronted by Bay Area troubadour Greg Lamboy, Pacific Standard crafts a “modern vintage” sound full of tight harmonies, loose grooves, and melodies that stick. Together, they channel the sun-baked warmth of Laurel Canyon through the improvisational energy of Northern California’s jam scene. Onstage, Pacific Standard moves easily between their own originals and fresh, roots-rich interpretations of familiar favorites, reshaping songs by artists like The Neville Brothers and The Rolling Stones in ways that sound unmistakably their own.
Their debut album, The Honeyed & the Bittersweet, Volume I, bridges eras. From the radio-ready shimmer of “Sooner or Later” to the laid-back swagger of “Rapscallion’s Rhapsody.” It’s music that invites you to roll down the windows, turn up the volume, and lose track of time.
